The key with Vy is first to separate who operated the train and how long the train’s total route is. That determines whether you claim with Vy, another operator, or Resplus, and which delay thresholds apply.

When do I get Vy delay compensation?
For train routes 150 km or longer, compensation is normally 25% of the ticket price at 60-119 minutes delay and 50% at 120 minutes or more. For shorter train routes, 50%, 75%, or 100% applies at 20, 40, and 60 minutes respectively.
How do I submit a train claim to Vy?
Use Vy’s train claim form and submit the case within two months. Attach the ticket, any receipts, name, address, and account number.
I bought the ticket on vy.se but travelled with another operator?
You normally contact the company that caused the delay. Vy says the responsible train operator is shown on the ticket.
What applies to Resplus?
If the ticket is marked RESPLUS, you normally use the Resplus form and state which operator caused the delay.
Can Vy reimburse taxi or other transport?
On shorter train routes, other reasonable transport can be reimbursed up to SEK 1,480 for journeys ending in 2026. On longer train routes, the 100-minute rule matters if Vy does not provide information about possible rebooking.
What applies to commuter passes?
Compensation is calculated from a per-trip ticket price because there is no single-trip price. Keep documentation showing the pass price and the relevant journey.
