What is Klimra Taxi?
Klimra Taxi helps SL riders across Stockholm – including trips to Gnesta, Bålsta and Uppsala – book a taxi when the delay passes 20 minutes. We attach the booking to the right case and submit a complete claim to SL for you.

How SL’s compensation works today – without Klimra
You fill out SL’s web form or contact customer service, pick discount or taxi and enter ticket details.
Taxi requires original receipts and tickets marked with the case number and sent by post. Missed deadlines or documents can mean rejection or reduced compensation.

Your rights in brief
Swedish law and SL’s delay guarantee set what you can claim.
When can you take a taxi when SL is delayed?
You can take a taxi and get compensation once the delay exceeds 20 minutes.
- You risk arriving more than 20 minutes late because of cancelled departures or major disruptions.
- You cannot board due to crowding and the next service makes you more than 20 minutes late.
- You follow SL’s planner but still pass 20 minutes of delay, or replacement buses would make you equally late.
- You choose another operator on the same stretch (e.g. SJ instead of a commuter train) and can show that ticket.
Klimra flags when taxi is reasonable under SL’s rules and links it to the correct case.
When can you not get compensation?
Some situations are not covered by SL for taxis.
- Planned changes announced on sl.se at least three days in advance.
- No valid ticket or the delay does not reach 20 minutes to the final destination.
- Taxi outside Stockholm County or extra costs like tips and parking are not covered.
- Consequential losses like missed appointments, hotels or other tickets are not covered.
Klimra filters out trips where compensation is unlikely.
What applies?
- Taxi or another operator when you risk more than 20 minutes of delay.
- Compensation up to SEK 1,470 (1/40 of the price base amount 2025) per person and journey.
- Alternative: ticket refund 50/75/100% at 20/40/60 minutes of delay.
- Applies to all SL traffic including commuter trains to Gnesta, Bålsta and Uppsala.
- Valid ticket/SL card required. Notify SL within three months and submit the claim no later than three years after notification.
