Värmlandstrafik delay compensation

Värmlandstrafik says delay compensation applies when your journey is more than 20 minutes late or when the departure is cancelled. It applies to Värmlandstrafik tickets on buses, trains and demand-responsive traffic in Värmland, but not to Båtbuss.

• The complaint must be sent within two months.
• Resplus journeys are claimed through Resplus.
• Planned or temporary timetables announced at least three days in advance can affect compensation.
• Consequential costs such as missed meetings or flights are not reimbursed.

If you wait and continue the journey, Värmlandstrafik uses the standard 20/40/60-minute levels.

• 20-39 minutes: 50% of the journey price.
• 40-59 minutes: 75% of the journey price.
• 60 minutes or more: 100% of the journey price.
• Period tickets are valued from the corresponding adult single ticket.

If you risk being more than 20 minutes late, taxi or own car can be reimbursed. You cannot combine this with ordinary fare compensation.

• The maximum amount is SEK 1,480.
• Own car is reimbursed according to the Swedish Tax Agency norm, currently SEK 25 per 10 km.
• Tips are not reimbursed.
• Compensation can be paid to travel funds or a bank account.
